Raphos Bundle
Constraint-driven cable and pipe routing — every route provably meets its bend, clearance and length limits, with nothing to tune.
Raphos Bundle routes cables and pipes automatically inside Synera. Harness and pipe routing is normally done by hand-tuning a spring-particle simulation until it looks right — slow to learn and slow to converge, because real requirements like maximum bend, minimum length and no intersections end up expressed as competing weights instead of the hard limits they actually are.
Raphos Bundle treats them as requirements. A route either satisfies every limit, or the report tells you exactly which one it could not meet and by how much. There are no goal weights, time steps, damping factors or iteration counts to tune.
Two phases, no tuning
The solver splits routing into a fast global search and a precise local refinement, so it is both robust and deterministic.
- Corridor search: the scene is voxelised and A* finds a collision-free corridor — if none exists, that is the answer, delivered in a fraction of a second.
- Constrained refinement: NLopt SLSQP smooths the route while holding hard limits on curvature, clearance, separation and length.
- Cables bundle and follow surfaces naturally, coming out as long straight runs joined by discrete bends — the shape a real harness takes.
- Requirements are met; preferences are optimized — the two are never traded off against each other.
